Can you please do an updated video on wearable pumps? I’d like to hear your thoughts on these pumps as well as other wearables now that willow go has been out for a while. It would be awesome to see a video of wearable pumps like you have for portable pumps comparing them best to worst in different categories!

I do the fridge hack with my willow go, but pushing the flange into the hole after I take the motor out and it works great and takes up little to no space!

Can you do an updated video on these pumps and also include noise levels? Really curious how the stride compares with Willow Go

I got the willow go and so far have been really happy with it! My 5th son that was born in Dec has been having milk transfer issues but with having 5 kids I needed something mobile to have any hope of pumping with any consistency. So far I like it and I feel like the spectra and I get about the same output.

Alison, love your pump comparisons! You do such a great job and are so helpful for practical tips and tricks with all these pumps. I'm also an IBCLC but getting to be a "pump expert" is a job of it's own. THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking this on. I'm a big fan!

I hear a lot about how wearables are not good primary pumps because it doesn’t empty well, which I do understand! But is there research done to see what some of those factors are? Such as breast cup size, flange size, etc.? They always advertise as hospital grade so to a normal consumer it sounds the same as electric pumps so I am confused by all the options.

I need the suction, which puts Willow brand above Elvie for me. Elvie stride is out - if I want to deal with tubes, I'll use my regular pump. The Willow Go is my pic over Willow 3.0 because 1) You can move between stimulation and expression mode. I always have issues with my let down and the 3.0 didn't give the flexibility I need. 2) I don't want to use the app (I use Huckleberry so all my baby stuff is right there together). But I like that if needed I can see the suction level. (Big fail by Medela on their new pump that's replacing the pump in style ☹️). 3) The 3.0 had a lot of bad reviews with troubleshooting and error messages. Only two things to clean but they seemed to always throw an error. When I'm ready to pump, it's go time. No time for playing around with an error message. 4) I just need to be able to wash the dishes or change a diaper or watch the kids outside while pumping, I don't need to turn upside down while pumping or try to sleep while pumping. Plus 360 movement was only possible when using the bags with the 3.0, which are expensive. Willow Go is my pic over Elvie because 1) suction. (However, I found no matter what pump, it's gotta be TIGHT to get enough suction for me.) Otherwise they seem the same - same mobility, same pumping features. Elvie's app let's you operate the pump from the app, which women looking for discretion might like better. But again, I have no intention of using the app. And Willow Go has the option of buying larger storage, but really, I never pumped over 3 oz per breast. I always find it funny when women say they get 25 oz from one pumping session. Not sure what that's all about, but hasn't been the case for me.

Is the Willow Go a pump you recommended as the only pump? You said you don’t recommend it for the stride but how about the Willow go ?

I’m a community health nurse and currently 20 weeks pregnant. Thanks for this review and for making the mannequin wear scrubs 😂

Thanks for the review. I ended up selling the willow go. It weighed me down so much I had to really tighten my bra straps to keep the pumps in place then I just felt like I was stretching out and ruining my expensive nursing bras. I did like the suction. The other thing that annoyed me though was you can only turn it off and on and adjust the setting from the pump it’s self not the app. The app only tells you what setting you have it on and the time which isn’t very useful. I got the pump because I wanted to be more discreet but it’s not very discreet when I have to lift up my shirt to turn it on or adjust the settings. Im now considering the Elvie stride. I originally decided against it because of the tubes but now I think it will be nice to adjust the settings from a pump that is separate so I don’t have to worry about lifting up my shirt in public and also hoping it won’t be so bulky since it’s just the cups.

So with the willow go you are not able to use the fridge hack? Can you explain further why? I see that the motor is in the middle but milk shouldn’t be touching it so I’m just wondering why?

You mention the suction strength is stronger with the Willow Go. How do these compare to the Spectra pump suction strength?

Hi ! I wanted to know which is easier to express more milk and maintain milk supply for mommies that have had a dificult time increasing and maintaining milk supply ? Like si hace a medela sonata and it helped me sometimes I hace tongo and do things ( baby number 2 in the way ) so which one would you recomend in these cases?

Wait! You have to explain why you think the stride isn’t enough for a working mom. I put baby on the breast every time I can, but I used the original elvie with my first and pumped 2-3 times per day (had to—medical field), and plan to do the same with the stride now with my second baby! Any input?

I’d be interested in the weight difference between them! I find the willow 3.0 quite heavy and the elvie stride quite lighter. Obviously, it doesn’t have the motors and cups together but I would be interested to see a weight comparison between the 4.

I am curious how you test it and get these graphs???

Can you explain why you'd need a second pump if you go with the Elvie Stride? My understanding is that the Stride is Hospital Grade.

Can you make a video with your top suggestions for someone who exclusive pumps? I plan to with baby #2 but I travel across the country in the states and am on the road quite often. Definitely need something portable as we are in the car for 6+ hours at a time very often.

Can you talk about the noise, how loud are they and also how do the suctions feel compared to the spectra pumps? Can willow go be a good option for working moms?
