The Massachusetts Institute of Technology is an independent, coeducational, privately endowed university in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Our mission is to advance knowledge; to educate students in science, engineering, technology, humanities and social sciences; and to tackle the most pressing problems facing the world today. We are a community of hands-on problem-solvers in love with fundamental science and eager to make the world a better place.

The MIT YouTube channel features videos about all types of MIT research, including the robot cheetah, LIGO, gravitational waves, mathematics, and bombardier beetles, as well as videos on origami, time capsules, and other aspects of life and culture on the MIT campus. Our goal is to open the doors of MIT and bring the Institute to the world through video.

Wow! Why would you guys deny Peter Parker and his friends from attending MIT? You do realize that Peter Parker is Spider-Man and he's been protecting us from the force of evil, like Thanos right? You guys should really reconsider letting them attend based on their academic performance alone!

I don't think we need to see the bygone cliché of the holiday greeting video with a singular religious music.

I had often experienced and witnessed the darn racism, sexism, and other discriminations and silly hatred and harassments in many levels among students, in the dorms, frats, in the classrooms, studios and labs, also from the young faculty and the staff. Lots of suicides and bizarre stories of many new students getting depressed from ridicules of other students. The Campus Police was really careless and the international student office unhelpful but discriminated us often in abusive manners. My school day was very "traumatizing." Soon, many mature students from many departments, many of whom females and blacks, rose to speak against the institute's bias, and politics in faculty, and, that is when the school rank dropped for 2-3 years in the following years as we rated our own school less than great. I still sense the faculty of my department today chosen by their political agenda. And, the some of the recent alumni reps are chosen for their political spec building.

In alumni correspondence, Singular and vague comments of the president alone is not enough. I delete after reading the emails. uninspiring.

I would rather see the genuine promotion of the students and alumni doing something together actively for non-discriminative environments, for equality, for anti-hate, and humanity taught and advocated throughout the school years and as part of the goals and ethics of the education.
