Oops. It's definitely 2018 and NOT 2017! Hahaha. Let me know what you've been loving this month!

Not the sexiest solution but for dandruff and scalp sensitivity I like to mix one drop of tea tree oil with whatever shampoo I’m using! Sometimes I will apply shampoo and let it sit on my scalp while I do another step in my shower, then rinse out. I love the tingly feeling and it really balances my roots too!

I discovered Ladies Who Lunch two weeks back and I'm slowly working my way through each ep. Ingrid, I can't thank you and Cat enough. Your advice is spot on and knowing I'm not alone has helped me so much in what's been a tough month. Thank you ❤️

Ingrid! I am a hairstylist. There is a difference between dandruff and dry scalp. Dandruff is a build up of oils from your scalp and product build up. It is usually yellowish. Dry scalp usually has white dry flakes and is very common this time of year. I recommend tea-tree oil based shampoos. I love Paul Mitchell tea tree lavender shampoo for my dry scalp. If you use a dandruff shampoo for dry scalp it may seem affective at first, but will eventually lead to worsening the problem because it is trying to reduce oil on your scalp making your skin dryer!

For dandruff, try Briogeo charcoal shampoo. I haven’t tried it but have tried their repair and volumizing line. The repair shampoo and conditioner are so great for moisturizing in the winter. Definitely check out the brand as it’s free of bad chemicals too.

My scalp typically gets super flaky in harsh winter climates too! I used to just massage my scalp with coconut oil before shampooing, which did help a lot, but now I use Aesop's Sage and Cedar Scalp treatment and WOW! First winter I haven't had to deal with any flakes! I use Aesop's Calming Shampoo too.

I’d recommend lush’s soak and float shampoo bar! It’s targeted towards itchy scalps and the fact that it’s package-free is always a bonus! Definitely store it in the square tins instead of the round though to avoid it getting stuck!

I always suffer from a dry, itchy, flaky scalp! I tried Briogeo's Scalp Revival Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo and I am in love! It is the only thing that has ever worked for me...and it smells delicious to boot! Plus, no sulfates, no silicones, no pthalates, no parabens, no DEA and no artificial dyes so it is actually good for your hair!

Have you tried a scalp exfoliator? Using them before a shampoo gets rid of all the dry skin and build up and makes your hair feel so light with no itch! The grow fabulous range is amazing.

I love the Briogeo Scalp Revival charcoal and coconut oil exfoliating shampoo. I got it because Tati said to and I love it so far! It’s definitely cut down my dandruff and makes my scalp feel extra clean.

I always have problems in the winter with super dry scalp and itchiness and my skin responds really well to eucalyptus and mint. Even though it's not the same as dandruff, I use the OGX eucalyptus mint shampoo and their coconut milk conditioner. The eucalyptus and mint is super calming and the coconut milk is really hydrating. My scalp is picky af and this combo has helped me much, I don't have nearly as many problems.

I have dry scalp too and what helps the most for me is massaging coconut oil into my scalp at night once a week or every other week and sleeping with it before washing it out the next morning. Or if you can wait, wash it out the next evening.

Hey Ingrid! As someone who suffers from psoriasis on my face and scalp, which causes dandruff, I highly recommend Head N Shoulders, TSal, or anything with tea tree oil. I will say however, Head/ shoulders and TSal have been giving me the best results.

I know it’s probaby the most basic recommendation but I use head and shoulders for dandruff and it works really well plus it tingles too which feels super refreshing and that it’s working plus my scalp gets oily and it’s super nice with keeping hair fresh and clean!:)

Shampoo recommendation for dandruff: I have patches of psoriasis on my scalp and I find that T-Gel from Neutrogena really really helps. It's good for regular dandruff as well

Once a week I rinse off my conditioner(make sure you only have some on your ends) with a cup of apple cider vinegar and let it sit in my scalp for a few seconds, it keeps dandruff at bay😁👌
