How to use the AUX port on a Mitsubishi Lancer

I had a rental car and got so mad that nothing was happening when I plugged in the aux cable. After looming through the menu setting a for several minutes in a last ditch effort I figured let me YouTube it and see what comes up. Your video came right on top and saved the day!!! Mitsubishi is pretty dumb for making something that should be plug and play more complicated than it needs to be.

Lol thanks for the video i had got my lancer 2 days ago and i cried cause i didnt know where in the manual it showed this so i just sat there like ok bluetooth my music into the stereo but thanks i love the vid thanks alot for saving me from just giving up on not using it

I have the European model (1.6 benzine, 2013) and I wasn't able to open the cover so I removed it with force. There was nothing behind it. Seems not everyone has this AUX port

Im pretty sure if you connect the white and the red, then this cuts one entire sode of speakers out. This is exactly the opposite of what the purpose of an rca cable does (white is right, red left) but try just the white into the white and more speakers will play.
