Marco's death was one of the saddest in SNK. Considering after hearing Bertholdt and Reiner talk about how they had titans he thought they were just joking or delusional and walked it off. He still had trust for both of Reiner and Bertholdt before they grabbed him and fed him to the titan Marco was one of the sweetest chars in SNK I still believe he isn't dead because of the difference of the corpse that Jean found and his actual face.
