Are you traveling to the UAE soon and flying to Dubai? Here is your guide for getting a local prepaid sim card for the UAE in Dubai.

In the video you will get to see where to buy a prepaid sim card on arrival, all the stores and prices, the restrictions, my recommendations and everything else you need to know.

I checked out Dubai Airport as well as the stores in the Dubai malls and Dubai sim card deals are the same everywhere, so I recommend buying a sim card for the UAE at Dubai Airport.

You will also get a free DU sim card for Dubai at passport control including 1 GB data, but be aware that this 1 GB is only valid for 24 hours.

If you have any more questions please leave me a comment below and I will try to answer your question. Enjoy your trip to Dubai!

Also find on my blog a list of some cool things to do in Dubai:

Du and Etisalat are the major and only "serious" carriers in the UAE. Virgin mobile and other carriers are just a joke here and its mostly thanks to the government monopoly. Both Du and Etisalat are owned by the government and it is a huge monopoly, meaning they can charge unfairly for basic internet. Etisalat beats Du 100% though. As a person who is born here and still lives here every single person, no matter expat or local uses Etisalat simply because of the better coverage and overall stability. They also have the fastest internet simply because they block like 50% of websites here 😂
Anyways great video and it looked like a fun adventure for you running around the Airport and the mall too. Hope you enjoy your card.

Du telecom is awful, they gave us a sim at airport and we charged 100 AED, after 7 days we used only 30% but it suddenly stopped working. after over 2 hours standing in line in du telecom they said, "we can't do anything and you can buy another one". That's a shame

Dubai is clearly the most expensive place I could imagine one could use mobile data in. Not far behind are Canada, New Zealand, the US, and Japan. It makes me wonder how do people enjoy their phones whilst driving.

Great video. You gave clear idea on each sim card and especially on offers. It really helped me a lot. I didn't know I can expect some offers on sim cards. Thanks a lot

I am indian here the price of 1 gb is almost 10 rupees. Thats means you can run 7gb data in 1 doller.. if you buy high price package you will get low per gb price.. it may be 8gb per doller cheapest data in the world. Thnx to jio.

Thank you so much.
Now I won't need to spend $50 on a crappy international sim, instead I can just buy one at the airport. Headed to Dubai the next week.
