Thank you for being honest about motherhood. People don’t keep it real that it’s ALOT of responsibility that a lot of times falls on the mom. I think too many go into it blindly thinking it’s just cute baby pics. All the more reason to make sure you have a solid partner supporting you.

I think I resonated with this video wayyy too much. I had my daughter 2 years ago and the postpartum shedding was atrocious. I had 2 miscarriages prior which was second trimester and the postpartum hormones never recovered from then. I had to keep cutting my hair because my edges were nonexisting and every time I try to do a style it was evident that I didn’t have no hairline.

Daycare is a mortgage and a setup .. I feel like it didn’t even think about childcare before getting pregnant. 😂😂 ( warning to the childless ) . I love being a mom and waited so long but that mental load is heavy and add running behind a toddler after that 💀 . I think men have the pressure of of making sure we’re good, stewardship and providing. Me and my husband summed it up as we’re both carrying a heavy load but looks different, no one is doing more or less than the other. We just have to keep that communication top tier and checks in .

I feel you on the DO OVER on the birthing experience because I had a whole plan in my head and it went south. I had a emergency C-section and my dream of pulling my baby out my parts got shattered.

I also want to add that control issue stems in pride and we really have to surrender it to God and ask him to shift our hearts because I believe it’s a heart posture issue. I struggle with that heavy after my baby. Once I surrender things just flowed and I just rolled with it

Overall enjoyed this video and your makeup girlie. I’m eyeing that blush but not sure if it gonna look good on me

Sorry for the long paragraph.

Soo many mothers dont enjoy motherhood & it’s not talked about enough which only hurts moms in the end. Society needs a complete overhaul on how we approach motherhood so children AND moms can be better supported.

I just love you, your vulnerability and realness is always unmatched. Everything you said resonated with me 100%. I'm a new mom of twins and let me tell you this postpartum is no joke. We are all in this together and I'm praying we continue to thrive through this time in our lives. 🫶🏾

I love that you’re speaking on things post partum. I’ve made it a point to reach out more after birth because I remember how overwhelming and lonely it is. I always tell my friends GIVE YOURSELF GRACE… everything gets crazy until about 1 year post…no matter how fast you “snap back physically” ya mental ain’t there yet. GRACE -GRACE -GRACE. Your new cut is beautiful!

I felt so seen with this video. You put words to things I've felt over the course of 7 years of being a full-time sahm of 3. Similar to you I've spent a lot of this year healing broken thoughts, mindsets, etc and that's really helped me. Hubs and I are expecting our last baby in a few months and for the first time ever I actually feel mentally, spiritually, emotionally and even physically ready. I'm committed to fall in love with the process and not try to control everything.

Omg!! I’m so glad you are back. Thank you for sharing your journey you are definitely not alone. Parenting is amazing but not one ever speaks on the struggles, this conversation was well needed.

I watched this twice! Turned it on when by coincidence when I was in the shower washing my hair and feeling so bad about my excessive postpartum shedding 10months on! I completely identify with everything you said here. I pray God restores you even as he does the same for me and all other mothers out there.

Vicky I had to stop the video at 13.29 to say thank you so much for sharing - everything you say so far resonates massively. I am a mum to an 18 month old boy and I've been struggling lately myself, feeling quite low and just in a constant energy deficit. This video is really encouraging. God bless you and your family. Your vulnerability is really helping mums out there. I will def be booking a doctor's appointment now. Love from the UK. <3

EDIT* I have watched nearly all of your vid, and EVERYTHING resonates! haha from backing away from who I was as a people helper/fixer prior to motherhood (totally something that fulfilled me prior but not now, I do not have the capacity), to enjoying motherhood and being grateful, but actually admitting that it is relentless and for the mother, a constant state of giving even when we don't have it. I could go on, but thank you again. This was needed. And yeh I have regular therapy check ins, I've been in therapy since I was 30 (now 38) so I too value it and can attest to the positive impacts it makes. LOVE.

Great video Vicky. My son is 19 years old now but I still remember having some of the same emotions you have when he was a year old. It gets better though. I remember feeling like myself again when he turned 3 years old. 💕

MOM Life!!! 😩 the struggle most people don’t talk about in this light! 🥴Thank you for being so transparent you don’t realize how many people you’re actually helping by sharing what you’re going through. I have 2 kids 9 & 12 and I must say that everything you said I did feel when my kids were smaller especially with my 9yr old, but it got better in time. I didn’t even realize I was overstimulated, depressed etc ect. I had to get therapist, medication and eventually weaned off, and got healthier in time The mental health improved throughout the years and I eventually saw some light! 😊😁You’re doing an amazing job! This is all a shock to your body, but it does get better as they get older, You getting therapist and working on you it does make a difference and help. Kuddos to you! You will get there and not want to “fight” everyone in time 🤭🫶🏾

Vicky this is beyond relatable! It’s so refreshing to hear someone articulate this so well. 1 yr in with my second child and feeling like finding myself is still the fight of my life 😅 the clearing came when my first was 18 months… riiiight before I was pregnant again 🫠
