One of the most beautiful voices of the 20th century! How lucky we are that these performances have survived.

I saw her perform this live "My Fair Lady" on Broadway as a kid sitting front row center. She blew my mind. She still does.

It’s the song and performance that captured Christopher Plummer’s heart ❤❤

Incredible. Takes 3 steps out and sings brilliantly. It's so on pitch and sounds so sweet. The orchestration is perfect. And the camera close up is stunning. Bravo~!!!

What I love about this version of hers, is that she's singing live, the camera is up close to her face from the lowest note to the highest note and you can see how extremely relaxed and pleasant she looks, high note or not...the real way of singing. Like all the greatest singers from Callas to Sutherland, Pavarotti and Julie, they all have amazingly pretty mouth posture, rounded, relaxed and a slight head-tilt back when the notes are higher. I bet they all did it mostly subconsciously, that's how good they were. These days pop stars sing a whole octave below and they look like its the end of their life. 1:59 min mark that smile!!

my father always said she had the clearest, purist voice. her diction, tone, pitch, everything.

She was very young then, but yet Julie had a perfect pronounciation and later on her life she became a good writer. Love her!

Just WOW. She was just 20 years old. I can't believe it.

At 0:16 min mark, she sounds simply like a high quality bell. That color, clarity and power at 2:07 min mark. It sounds smooth, clean and so healthy. No need for mikes in your face, or artificial amplification, and other sound changes. Lets see if Adele, Gaga or the likes can attempt anything remotely as beautiful as this, in this key.

Julie Andrews is just so talented and I cannot believe her singing voice she had when she was like 26 and 29 years old she also had when she was only 20.

Even though she didn't play her in the movie she still brought Mary poppins and Maria to life with her voice

I maybe born in the wrong era! Yet I find so hard to believe this is Julie before Mary Poppins! Other than that, it’s one of my favorite songs in My Fair Lady!

Julie Andrews is obviously one of the queens in Broadway musicals. I hope she will make a comeback appearance to My Fair Lady with a new significant role: Mrs. Higgins, the mother of Professor Henry Higgins.

I would like to hear Julie saying the line
“Bravo, Eliza!”

I don't know anything about Andrews career or where she came from but there is no disputing the fact her voice is lovely and was made for the movies!

They dubbed Hepburn in the movie. Julie Andrews performed the same part on Broadway. They didn't choose her because she wasn't famous. What a loss.

Beautiful song, sung by a remarkably talented Julie Andrews. Such a shame she was snubbed when it came to casting for the movie.
