Great video. I have a mixture of flanges on my worksite. ASA class 150 and 300 . PN 16 . DIN PN 40. ASME B16.5. And BS 10 table E and F from the 1900s British system. All sorts. Slip on or weld neck. Slip on are alot easier to weld ! But I keep learning everyday.

Syrup:
What temperatures are seen in a hot syrup application?
Are syrup applications in constant work cycles or are they actuated based on demand? What are the ideal circumstances given a high low of 70 - 230 F
This is a big question because the cost/value changes according to demand and availability.
What I am most curious is this:
Under ideal circumstances and using only the above information, what is the best solution for this situation:
-2" sch40 A237 grade A chinese origin carbon steel mated to 2" sch40 304 stainless welded chinese origin
-operating temperature 230 F
-resting temperature 60 F
-fluid PH 6-9

Given only this information, what is your answer to a fire and forget application of 100 years.
For context this is California with too much sun, salty air, and no maintenance.
