In the latest episode of Dream Factory Paul Waller takes us on the journey of making a fully functional Cardboard P-Bass for the Cardboard Sessions. Layers of stacked cardboard get compressed and after lots of hand work it transforms into a bass. Watch Aldana Bass take it for a spin.

A full spec would be nice to see, including the weight of the bass and more about the neck material. How is the balance? How much does this cost?

Texas Toast Guitars' plywood "Les Ply" > the cardboard guitars, IMO.

They're really cool though 👌 They did Les Ply similarly where they stood they plywood up on end and make the guitar with the edges of the ply sheets as the face of the guitar. It's SWEET!

Where is tonewood tho? Hahaha Fender is rubbing it in your face and people still can't see past all the tone BS. But this right here is really cool, would love to try one :)

Fender is catching on. Masonite guitars were around since the 1950s.

Paul Waller should make a cardboard Telecaster or even a Jaguar.

Wait, is this a thing? I can barely lift my strat due to my illness. Are these things super light weight?

Waller is a great builder, I don’t think slap bass sounds good on a p bass. Fingerstyle sounded ok on this, it’s a cool idea but at the end of the day it’s cardboard. I don’t think a hollow body works well on a precision, it needs that weight.

Snowboard much better than this.... what ridiculous project Fender has after this? French fries Jazzmaster? Or mashed potatoes telecaster?

Now even Fender proves tonewood is BS, what else do y'all have to say?
