Track #6 of the album “Return to Snooze Boulevard: More Songs from the Scandinavian Emigrant Heritage.” Performed by Anne-Charlotte Harvey and Stephen Gammell.

From the album:
"sung in Finnish. Learned from a recording by Finnish-American singer and kantele player Adolf Stark, this cradle song is accompanied by Stephen on the autoharp, an American cousin of the kantele. The repeated words 'pium paum' represent the swinging motion that goes through life: the rocking of the cradle, the swaying of young couples in dance, and, finally, the tolling of funeral bells as you are laid to rest.--Stephen, autoharp."
