Imagine being Joseph here. Visited by an angel of the Lord to be told you will be the earthly father of the Son of Man. Seeing your wife give birth, holding your baby boy for the first time, knowing full well that he is God incarnate, knowing the suffering and pain that he'll have to go through to be the sacrifice for all mankind... and solemnly praying for God to just let him be his baby for now...

I'm not even a father yet and I still cry thinking about it.

Such a beautiful tribute to Joseph, the honorable and kind man of faith, who took Mary for his wife and raised her holy child as his own. He protected and provided for them all of his life, simply trusting the instructions God sent to him in dreams.

This clutches at my heart every time. Joseph is forever in the shadow as a minor part in the life of Jesus. But this is not true. He was a father to Jesus, taught him the things a father teaches his son. He was a good example to Him. He had the normalcy of family life growing up

I just recently played Joseph in a Christmas Program, my father sung it while I just held a doll while in stage. It must of been incredible knowing you were the father of such wonder. It felt amazing to be reenacting such a story. We should all be thankful for what we have, not what we will gain in the future. Just remember, God is always there for you.

Lovely song for any father and son especially during the Christmas season. Fathers and sons sometimes become estranged. Joseph reminds fathers that regardless of our children’s genealogy they are a welcome gift from God.

I never knew how much Joseph loved Jesus until I held my first born son on Christmas Eve not knowing it would be his first and his last here upon this earth. Then when the doctor telling my wife that she was pregnant again especially when they said she could never have children again. Then few months later finding out it it was a little boy I wanted to protect him. He now is is one years old and I like to feel he knows his other siblings that we have lost over the course of our marriage. Thank you to Joseph who said that he would do everything to protect Mary and baby Jesus even if we don’t hear a lot about him. He truly was a hero in the right aspect.

I cannot express how much this song means to me. I know it is about Jesus. But this song touches every fiber of my being. As this song is for me about my son Joseph Michael Alkema who I lost back in 2011 from Trisomy 18. I feel Jesus is sending me a message that he is okay in his Heavenly Kingdom and he is there looking and watching over me.. But the expression I feel now wishing he was still here and celebrating Christmas with me and his Mom is still painful and overwhelming. I miss you son so much.. I was at a competition and thought my parents were never going to show up😢 I started praying that they would make it. (I also cried a little😅) soon after ages of waiting, they finally god is with us at all times even when you don’t know him.
