How to Link CSS to HTML in Visual Studio Code

How to CSS file to HTML file in Visual Studio Code using this easy step by step tutorial.

In this tutorial, we will test that everything is linked by changing the H1 to the color red using CSS.

We use Visual Studio Code but you can do the same step in any other code editor of your choice.

I linked them but they still aren't linked. By that I mean that if I copy and paste my CSS work directly into the HTML document, before my HTML code, then it works correctly. However, if I just type the CSS in the CSS document and remove it from HTML, it doesn't work. Any Idea what I might be doing wrong?
