My mother made egg custard pies often when I was young. They were the best. She lost the recipe years ago. If I remember correctly she baked the crust and cooked the egg custard until thick and then poured it into the baked crust. My recipes I have found are baked. Thanks for sharing your recipe. It looks wonderful!

This is a wonderful recipe and you made it look so simple to put together. Great tip on incorporating the hot milk into the beaten egg.
