A vanilla bean scrapped into the milk is really good too. Plus I love putting fresh fruit with it when serving

My mother made egg custard pies often when I was young. They were the best. She lost the recipe years ago. If I remember correctly she baked the crust and cooked the egg custard until thick and then poured it into the baked crust. My recipes I have found are baked. Thanks for sharing your recipe. It looks wonderful!

Custard pie was my Grandma’s favorite! I used to get it from Bill Knapps forever ago. Custard pie brings back great memories for me!! Thank you❤

This is a wonderful recipe and you made it look so simple to put together. Great tip on incorporating the hot milk into the beaten egg. A person only has to do that once and then will never do it again. LOL. I really like the sugarless and gluten extras you have provided. Thank you for your time in this collaboration.
