Creality sent me a Falcon 2 40 w laser. I have never used a laser engraver / cutter below, so how mush can I learn in 9 hours without burning down the small workshop.

In this video I unbox and set up the Falcon 2 laser engraver. learn how to use it and the Lighburn software, then make some test cuts using the free Gcode samples.

I then go and make my own design in Canva, Lightburn and cut and engrave them on the Creality Falcon 2 Laser engraver.

Thanks for this, close to buying but a bit daunted and worried about waiting hard earned money, seems to be one of the best

how to align the wood with the laser so it becomes better for mass cut outs production... and how to center for engraving

Hey JP.
Nice to see Trumptons Blue Watch in action again!
Lazers aren't something I'm interested in, but nice to see what you managed in a short space of time 😊👍

Are you sure you have the air assist dial on the left where it plugs in - all the way UP?

I've been watching several videos here on 'the tube' regarding setup and running laser cutter/engravers. You are the first I've seen actually level the device. That is something I would most definitely do. Having said that ... I realized that if the device is level, but the table, honeycomb, workpiece is not, then the focus will not be consistent throughout the job. Now I have to resolve my OCD tendencies toward perfection with the possibility that this may be a bad practice. I would appreciate any comments or advise.

Interesting Diversification. I still think I would prefer a CNC rather than a laser, but it went a long way to show what could be done . Cheers.
PS, Did you know you got a positive call out this morning on Workshop Banter Vlog

Great video as usual. I have the 22w falcon and use it for all sorts of things.½" ply cleats on french cleat storage down to engraving.
I haven't managed to set anything on fire yet😂😂😂😂.the other day I had set it going and meanwhile started my Traeger, when it starts it puts out quite a lot of smoke. I looked up, saw the smoke and thought garage was on fire LOL. realised it was Traeger,
at one point your work looked sooty this is normally not enough air, I have air on all the time.

Does it just laster engrave wood? All the vids I see shows it cutting but I want to be able to do plaques with engraving.

Good review. I have been considering adding a laser head to my big CNC machine- but most of the power ratings are fiction. A genuine 40W LED type is great- I did not want to fuss with CO2 types. As there would be hassle swopping heads, I have just bit the bullet and ordered one of these- that will force me to make room for it. I hope it will fit in my CNC chamber, and that the vac system will double as a fume extractor. We will see... Thanks for the steer.

Only made it to 5.35 because of the triggering laser sound fx.

Hey mate, great video. Just a small thing to point out. The blue plastic in the base plate has a plastic film that is to be peeled off. Just thinking of your lungs mate and that horrible plastic burning smell! 😅

Don't go too slow.. make two or even three faster passes to avoid fire...

REMOVE the blue plastic film from the aluminum sheet backing... or fire could result....
