Thank you for actually being the only person to ever mention that these types of gadgets are usually only good for the light DIY job.

So many people always talk about these universal gadgets being magic that will replace toolboxes, but always fail to realize that being able to do everything comes at a cost.

Actually used one today to put a spare back in place. Went form an annoying five minute job to a one minute zip with the drill and a finish with the provided tools.

I used this to disassemble a distribution panel’s wooden shipment crate. Different size screws, this made for quick work as didn’t have to swap socket bits. Had it all apart in about 5 minutes. Journeyman was impressed, but should consider safety as it could shatter to fragments.

It's cool for odd shaped things and if you can't or don't want to get the right tool. It's not going to replace an entire toolbox like the old ads said though.

This is a great tool I use it on site all the time I've been doing so for about 10 years now. The greatest failure that I've experienced from this tool is that everyone steals them from me.

This does have a place at a job site tho, as an electrician I don’t like carrying much with me so using this for the odd bolt is great

It would be useful for a diyer who does not want to get all the bits so it is very useful for the more uncommon bits very cool

I am a diesel mechanic and I use this when I can’t find the right socket or for just snugging bolts then come back and tighten them.

My favorite use for the universal socket is on Eye bolts and jacks
