Game shows have been around almost as long as TV itself. There are all kinds of styles and formats, but for all the variety of potential games, there is one tried and true constant: the host. The game show host is usually friendly, upbeat and excels at innocuous banter while explaining the rules and bringing the contestants along for the ride. However, it's worth remembering that the host you see on TV is just a persona. In real life, some of these hosts are as awesome as they are on TV, but others, like the following, are just awful...

What's your opinion on some of these game show hosts?

Richard Dawson once stopped by our house in Burbank to thank my sister and mother for a handmade tie they had sent (they were big fans) to him and he had worn while hosting his show. He gave my sister a copy of the book "The Profit" and said it had helped him with life's challenges. He was respectful and kind. A good human being.

Pat Sajak is a very nice person. He was a LA weatherman before Wheel. So I’ve seen him for decades. I’ve never seen an undercurrent of attitude. He’s a delight on Twitter. Always a gentleman on Wheel.

Not mentioned here (because of course not) is that Richard Dawson mellowed out following the demise of "Feud" in 1985, making his role in "The Running Man" a tongue-in-cheek reprisal of his old behavior. He was a majorly changed man by the time he returned to "Feud" in 1994.

Bob Barker had well more than just those two lawsuits and allegations (and nearly all of them were settled with a hush clause attached because how dare Barker's name be tarnished), but the ones with Dian and Holly were by far the most well-known. Heck, you could've mentioned the multiple times he flirted with female contestants while he was still married.

Pat Sajak is a non-issue, as already noted by others.

Yes, these are not good qualities. Racism, sexism and refusing to care for the earth are old ideas that are dying. But many many people are guilty of this-not just game show hosts.

I can only name 3 conservative hosts off the top of my head, and coincidently, they ALL made this list. This propaganda piece should be titled "Game show host that I disagree with".
