ScanScore 3 Introductory Video

In this video, Marvin from the ScanScore team introduces you to ScanScore and explains what you can do with it.

You will learn how to read in sheet music via PDF, scan it with a scanner or take pictures with the ScanScore Capture app. We also explain the basic operation of the program: the elementary steps of scanning notes, correcting errors, transposing notes and further editing are explained step by step.

With ScanScore 3 there is now the completely new Score mode, in which you have advanced notation functions: Marvin explains here the new functions of adding bars or deleting sections, adding instruments, rearranging the score, and customizing the layout as you like.

You can save the result as a MusicXML file and use it in all notation and music programs that support MusicXML. You can also import the result as a MIDI file into a DAW of your choice, or print out your score.

A far better video than in the past - great progress. ScanScore 2 was buggy and time consuming. It seems you have so many new features and bug fixes. I have a large 84 page orchestral score that I need to export to Dorico and wanted to clean it up a lot. This looks like the improvements I needed. Will order it.

I loved this intro.... I just want to humbly suggest that sometimes I had a little difficulty (I'm American) understanding the narrator's lovely British accent. I backed up and replayed it several times and finally figured out what he was saying. Thanks for this (and his accent is charming).

The program looks highly capable. My only issue is with the licensing. I would be much happier to spend more for a perpetual license than spend less for a license that needs to be renewed yearly. Can that be made an option?

Can you make new vids on how to transpose, change cleffs, move the notes in the staff higher or lower?

Very good programme just a pity you cannot save your correstions in the trial version and if you want to buy you cannot pay neither with paypal or visa. So great programme to look at !
