The argument from the liberal seems to be whether or not children are marginalized enough to call for gay marriage. They focus on the margins, which is actually not a logically valid way to approach such a question. I suppose one could -also- look at the margins, but not the margins apart from the whole. Indeed, it makes more sense to be more exclusive rather than inclusive in defending the law as is.
