Boris Johnson begins Prime Minister's Questions by saying he understands and "shares the anger" a video has caused "up and down the country", after senior officials were filmed laughing about a "fictional" Christmas party involving cheese and wine.
The Prime Minister says it must be "infuriating" adding: "I was also furious and I apologise unreservedly for the offence it had caused up and down the country, and I apologise for the impression it gives."
He stresses that he has been told "there was no party, and no Covid rules were broken".
He confirms the Cabinet Secretary has been charged to "establish all the facts" and if any rules were broken "there will be disciplinary action for all those involved",
