FYI on some rules I didn't mention:
When targeting an aspect without the defender ability, if the Chimera has any unexhausted aspects with the Defender ability, it will guard with the leftmost unexhausted Defender, otherwise roll the behavior die. On a result of 9 or higher the Chimera guards. The Chimera may guard any number of times per round.

When you meditate, discard any number of the following:
-cards in your hand
-cards from the top of your deck
-ready spells from your spellboard.
For each card discarded, change a die in your active die pool to a side of your choice.

When all Aspects are revealed, you don't roll the Rage & Behavior dice. The Chimera simply attack with the unexhausted leftmost unit.

Great video, thank you! One note - you only roll the chimera dice when there are unrevealed aspects. When you had the 3 revealed aspects, you didn't need to roll any more, the chimera just starts attacking starting from the left.

Great video, love how chill it is. By the way, you are making meditate harder for yourself, each die can be changed to a side of your choice, so those two meditate could have gone directly to power sides from basics. Also, you can discard spells from your spellboard - not too relevant for the first round tho.

At 17:20 you say you need guard to block an attack, when your phoinex born is attacked you can block with any unit that is not exhausted

This was legit a perfect explanation and run through. I was on the fence but this looks so up my alley. 2 questions:

Have you tried it with 2?

And do you feel you need to deck build outside of the pre constructed decks to win above the base difficulty?

Thanks for the play through! I had Ashes when it first came out but wound up getting rid of it. I saw this video the other day and decided to get back into it. You mentioned that you had some of the expansion decks, which ones would you recommend? I only have the master set and this expansion so far. I like the one that you played here too, was the a pre-constructed deck, or did you make it yourself?

Thanks for renewing my interest in this game!
