🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🥀 The Grave of Sir William Wallace...one of them allegedly. Ending my William Wallace discoveries in Scotland took me just over the River Forth in Stirling to the 12th century ruins of Cambuskenneth Abbey founded in 1140 by King David I of Scotland to serve the royal Stirling Castle and also holds the remains of King James III amongst the dilapidated stone foundations and tombs. When William Wallace was executed for treason against Edward I in London at Smithfield Market in 1305 - by the most barbaric death you could imagine possible for any man (you can check out my on-the-spot video in my past video in London) - his body was torn to pieces...four parts actually by the way hung, drawn and quartered goes!
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
Again, William Wallace is a significant part of my mums family clan 'Graham' as John De Grahame historically was one of Wallaces' right-hand men. Can't exactly retrace my Scottish family tree back that far to medieval times, but I'm still a Graham with Graham blood.
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
History buffs say his head was dipped in tar and impaled on London Bridge, and his four body parts were sent to four different places in England and Scotland - Newcastle, Berwick, Perth and...you guessed it...Stiiirrrllliiingg.
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
Of course, knowing one of his graves was allegedly in Stirling, a friendly scots lady working at the Wallace Monument told me that the remains of his 'right arm' were buried at Cambuskenneth Abbey over the river, so, with a few pointers in the right direction and some detective work online, I decided to pop into a sweet-smelling florist and grab another rose 🌹 to pay Sir Wallace a visit to his grave site facing towards the Wallace Monument on Abbey Crag where he once stood. Every year, a mystery visitor leaves a pattern of white roses in the shape of the saltire Scottish flag on
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
But how did his right arm come to be buried beneath the earth of Cambuskennerth Abbey? You'll have to watch my video to find out...

RIP Sir William Wallace 🙏 🥀🕊 from a Graham a long, long, long time in the future.

They should bring all of his body back to Scotland and give him a proper grave, he loved where he was from and fought so hard for us, all of him should be returned.

Willam Wallace is alive, he will be remembered till this world exist. He sacrificed his life for his motherland. Salute from an Afghan/Pashtun. I will visit him one day.

Wallace was not a traitor. He didn’t not serve a oath to Edward
He serves kings of Scotland and the lairds
