The Fierce or Inland Taipan is the most venomous snake in the world, but as stated in the video, it's rare and only found in very remote areas. However the number 2 snake in venom lethality, the Eastern Brown lives everywhere including backyards and will enter homes seeking shelter and rodents. Most Australian snake bite victims & deaths are caused by this snake.

It's not really true that these snakes need to inject enormous quantities of very strong venom into fast-moving prey in order to survive. There are many non-venomous snakes within the same region as these that feed perfectly adequately on the same prey. In fact, it's an enigma from an evolutionary perspective why so many of Australia's snakes have retained such highly potent venom. The number of non-venomous snakes easily outnumber the number of venomous ones...if it was so critical to have highly potent venom then why are the non-venomous ones thriving?

I must say that I find these clips too short to be really interesting. No buildup.
Also, too little information about the animal.
Anyone out there that can direct me to more satisfying content?

The Eastern Brown is much more common, they're all over the east coast of Australia, in rural areas close to cities, on most farms you'll see them. And they're very very dangerous. Most people avoid being bitten, but if you are it's a trip to hospital and 2 weeks on dialysis.
