Dr. E. Michael Jones is quite pessimistic on Medjugorje and his reasoning seems sound to me. But there are a great number of faithful Catholics who believe in it. I'm definitely undecided and hope Akin or someone else at Catholic Answers does a deep dive on this.

I have some doubts about the authenticity of the recent apparitions in Međugorje, but am open to the legitimacy of first apparition that happened in 1981.
In any case, that place is definitely special because it brings millions of theists (and even numerous atheists) every year. As far as I know, it's the place on Earth where most confessions are held annually and many irreligious people who have came there have converted after visiting it.

The Lord mentioned fruits and fruits seem amazing especially the amount of people going to confession, what is Jimmy’s view on that?

The Vatican Commission, the Ruini Commission, recommended approval of the first seven apparitions. The bishops were overruled.

The first bishop Zanic first believed in the apparitions He clearly said: "I am deeply convinced that no child who says that they have seen Our Lady, has been talked into doing so. If we were speaking about one child only, one might say he could be stubborn and that not even the police could make the child renounce what he said. But six innocent, simple children in the space of half an hour, would, if they were pushed, admit all. None of the priests, I guarantee, had any idea of putting the children up to something.... I am also convinced that the children are not lying. The children are only speaking out what's in their hearts... It is certain: the children are not lying". (From a sermon given on the feast of St. James, the patron saint of Medjugorje, on the 25th of July 1981)
Then he changed his mind, Normally, it would be true that we should follow the local bishop. However, Medjugorje is unique in that Rome has intervened on a number of occasions, opposing the bishops negative opinion that Medjugorje should be condemned. Then there is was the famous conference of Yugoslavian bishop’s in 1991. The Yugoslavian bishop's conference was more favorable towards Medjugorje than not. The evidence on this account is clear and unambiguous, to the degree that it is unclear how critics could claim otherwise.
The. There was the Ruini commission who was extremely favorable on at least the 7 first apparitions. As a person that went 9 times to Medjugorje, I can give as a testimony that something amazing is happening there, something heavenly which is bringing back to the faith a huge amount of souls.

I was there in 1996 and saw it. You are able to look directly at the sun without burning your eyes. That's what I experienced any way with hundreds of people in front of St. James church after evening Mass, pretty amazing. Looking back, I wish I would have stayed out there that evening just to see how long it lasted.

The village and its people have such a rich catholic history which they fought to maintain and are a vibrant Catholic faith community today, which is often overlooked.

I was a reluctant tourist(agnostic) there in 1997 and after a week, left seeking to become a catholic which I did.
I’m glad people are discerning, I sure did and I too look forward to the churches ruling. I will always be catholic and grateful to the Lord for my visits there.
God bless and
Thanks Jimmy

The visionaries all live good, moral lives. None have ever denied the apparitions or turned on each other. Some still cater to pilgrims despite difficulties and health issues. They are not getting wealthy doing so.

MATT 16:4 “ A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign, and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah.” And He left them and departed”

I don't get these new rulings. Apparitions such as the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the 'miraculous medal' etc. etc. and also prophecy: I Cor 12:28, are either of supernature or not. No in-between. Also are official pilgrimages allowed there now?

What about the Divine Will? True or false?

I have no belief in catholic teaching after everything they've done. Rome has destroyed a lot of the faithful.

I totally see what the Magisterium would decide, as Jimmy said. Very problems there with doctrine.

It's way better to call "supernatural" fake, than to call "fake" supernatural

Can someone explain to me why this apparition has so much controversy?

Medjugorje looks like Our Lady is the newspaper every so and then. I just have to roll my eyes, same vibes as Garabandal...

What methodologies do these investigators use to determine if something is supernatural? It sounds just as ridiculous as ghost hunters determining paranormal activity in someone’s house

Didn't the seers, way way back in the beginning, admit it was all a joke?
