Anonymous French artist repairs streets with mosaics

Most of the mosaics are in their hometown of Lyon, where the street artist is known as the “pavement surgeon.”

They call their technique “flacking” — a play on the word flaque, which means puddle in French.

Love this! The unexpectedness is fun & exciting like Easter eggs hidden throughout the city. I love that the artist is creating beauty out of something considered broken & damaged...it mimics humanity in so many ways.
