Awesome video Brother! Appreciate the info and work. subbed and liked your channel/video. A guy after my own on your likes of cars. Will be tuning in for sure. We do a lot of classic and custom car work. Definitely going to have to try the sanding system from CarPro. In past Ive used product from Kovax with great success. I prefer the dry sand methods for all the reasons you mention being able to see the issues in the paint. Enjoyed your Podcast with Nick. Do you prefer water base compounds/polishes over solvent based? Thanks again for the great info and sharing your knowledge.

I would like to see a comparison video where a panel is sanded with say 2000 grit regular sand paper and 2000 grit foam interface backed paper and measure the paint thickness before and after. Also, a before and after of an area sanded and polished compared to an area just polished. With measurements before and after. And maybe a comparison of how much the orange peel is leveled out. That might take some fancy camera tricks though?

Cheers. After switching to dry sanding (kovax system) I can’t help but notice that I seem to need an extra rotary pass to dig out the dry sanding scratches at 3000 versus wet. Do you feel this is normal for dry sanding?
