BRVO

Symptoms:

Patient MAY be asymptomatic (this patient has a drop in VA due to macular oedema), altitudinal visual field defect & metamorphopsia.

Examination findings:

Acute: Retinal Haemorrhages (dot, blot and flame), cotton wool spots & dilated tortuous vessels.
Chronic: Venous sheathing, exudates & collateral vessels.
Complications: CMO, neovascularisation & vitreous haemorrhage
