The roof of Tropicana Field, the Tampa Bay Rays’ home, was torn off by high winds.
Due to various storm impacts, the only Pinellas hospitals that are accepting patients as of Thursday afternoon are Clearwater Morton Plant, Mease Dunedin and Mease Countryside. New trauma patients must be transferred out of county.

Although Pinellas County avoided the catastrophic storm surge that occurred south of Tampa Bay, Hurricane Milton brought hurricane-force winds and record rainfall overnight. The storm took down power lines and trees, damaged homes and caused severe localized flooding – only two weeks after Hurricane Helene devastated our coastal communities.

Sooo... Just to be clear, The reason bagged debris is frowned upon is... The local authorities think that maybe someone will be disposing of something they ought not be disposing of ? But ! I'm familiar with soaking plaster board and gypsum board, It's heavy and ungainly to handle in even the heaviest of construction bags ! A smaller but heavier construction container just doesn't exist for containing basically a pile of wet sponges ! But some thing to that effect would be a better and simpler scenario besides having a yard full of gypsum board in micro size pieces all over the yard ? Just sayin, an opportunity to cash in is just My gift to whomever has the wherewithal to produce just such a handedly item ! A grocery size bag that can handle 16# of weight !
