Why Lauf suspension forks for gravel?

Why is it a good idea to use suspension on gravel? And how do the Lauf suspension forks give you an edge?

As an engineer cyclist, I was waiting for such a frequency span, as when I realized that my suspension works only in >45kmh accidental bumps and sidewalk jumps only. And I watched the slo-mo footage from GCN review of the Lauf gravel suspension forks. They work absolutely incredible, you can see how it takes every small gravel vibrations with its design. Immediately I went to ebay to order one. But the price is higher, even though the material costs cheaper. I'm not telling this to criticize, I just want the CEO to know that it could revolutionize the cycling if any country with low currency value could afford it. (such as myself)
Will be glad to see its price get affordable, since now it's only good choice if you compare it to German 1kg suspensions which are 300$ more than Lauf suspensions. But if it could be a bit expensive than say, Rock Shox, I'd pay the extra for Lauf. And many like me in 3rd world countries.
Lauf cycling could be Shimano of suspensions. I look forward to see and be able to use that.

The fork is amazing. You have to ride it to feel the difference between this and the typical front shock.

Great explanation of the theory behind the madness! Thank you.

I'd be interested in a relatively-linear-tuned version for fat bikes (easier said than done I'm sure! already done and not marketed?), given they have good high frequency compliance in the fat tires already.

Another idea - combine with 3d printed tires (horrible high frequency compliance) for ultimate maintenance free bike.

I think if and when the price goes down for this tech (under patent?), it will be revolutionary for 3rd world (good point @XavierBetoN) and commuter bikes. It is intriguing for gravel now though!

I'd like one for my bamboo bike...

What about climbing out of the saddle, sprinting out of the saddle, or hard in the saddle climbing? Is it less efficient in climbing or accelerating?
