Emilia Bassano Monologue - from the play Emilia

Emilia is a play Morgan Lloyd Malcolm inspired by the life of the 17th century poet and feminist Emilia Bassano, as well as her speculated role as William Shakespeare's "Dark Lady."

The challenge I faced when working on this monologue was finding the line between a theatrical and a cinematic performance of the piece for a grounded and natural outcome.
