Thanks David for your info. on psychopathology. Reminds me of a friend I had. She passed away a couple of years ago. A part of me felt very sorry for her. Came from a very dysfunctional childhood where by her own description her father was a violent drunk. She wasn't without feeling but she seemed to be more often than not angry about something and/or someone during the years I knew her. And yes she was highly manipulative - particularly to those closest to her. Treated her granddaughter who was her main caretaker during the last year of her life very badly! But granddaughter had more maturity than I would have had. After her grandmother passed, there was forgiveness and understanding that the granddaughter had for her grandmother that I found amazing!
