Mercedes-Benz CLA EV Sets New Record with 2,309 Mile Drive in 24 Hours

The CLA EV prototype achieved an average speed of 96.2 miles per hour, including charging stops. It needed 40 stops to recharge, with each stop lasting about 10 minutes to get from 10% to 50% charge. The car features an 800-volt battery system, with a maximum charging rate of 320 kilowatts, allowing it to add around 186 miles of range in each charging session.

The production version of the Mercedes-Benz CLA EV is expected to debut in late 2025 as a 2026 model.
