Sang in the 70s in my youth choir!! Still live every song!!

2:57 One of the best times of my life. Singing at the Royal Albert Hall, London and the Usher Hall, Edinburgh, so packed people were standing in the aisles! The choir practises we went to in Edinburgh and continued to sing at venues around the city. Special times. Thank you Carol and Jimmy Owens, Pat Boon, Jean Darnell and Mrs P for making it happen. Still have the original LP and my Pat Boon signed music book.

Just getting ready to preach about Christ the Light of the World and remembered this wonderful song that lifted our spirits as young Christians in late 70ties. Thank God for Jimmy & Carol Owens, Pat Boone and all the people God has used to bless the world with this beautiful son. How prophetic it is today that Jesus people need to come together so that the Light of His Glory can shine through us. Many Christians are divided across the globe now more because of political, racial and ideological differences than theological affirmations. But none of these things can standard if we all dwell in God’s love that has been shed abroad in our heart by His Glorious Holy Sprit.

I sang in a coffee house choir called “the Branch” in Sanford, NC in 1975. We toured all over NC singing this music. I can still remember some of the places and a lot of the music. Now that I see how many people and places this music blessed, it’s quite humbling! I love listening to this!

My church youth group sang this musical in the 1970s. At age 16, I gave my life to Christ at a church camp in another state where kids from all over the southern United States attended. One of The guys from my church found a bunch of other kids there had sung this musical, too. About 16 of us combined to make a group and sang it in the talent show that week. What an amazing time of unity for Christ!

Wow! this brings back memories to (Lagos, Nigeria, 27th Sept 2021) My dad brought us up with these LP records... I'm 42yrs now. The second one was "If my People" I can never never never these records! They really impacted our lives... We sang along with the song book that was sold with the LP records back then...

Our First Forsquare Gospel Church in San José, Costa Rica actually presented Come Together in Spanish back in 1981. I was 15 then, now I am a church planter in Omaha, NE.

I grew up listening to this on my Mum and Dad's record player. Brilliant! Not a great fan of the '70's, but this kind of relaxed, warm and happy music, is a great medium for the truth in the music.

I grew up with my Mum and Dad playing this album.  Amazing memories!  Takes me back to the loungeroom and stereogram and the smell of the records and the feel of the plastic sleeve inside.
