This makes so much sense now! I used to wonder why exactly this system was better….knowing what is oldest is game changing and makes perfect logic. Thank you so much for explaining this so well! Now I actually want to do mine this way!

Your presentation is so appreciated. Just reopened my store today after a long period of time. This system is just excellent. Many thanks.

So glad I watched your videos before I started eBay, I can easily see and pull old items and have not lost an item in inventory in over a year. I used plastic totes, but I need to get shelves and boxes once I get fulltime.

Thanks for this video Chris! Although I’m not thanking you for the storage part lol but rather I finally saw your picture station and realized it’s lifted. So I just changed my setup to my bed and using a gray background. Game changer! Was able to do 14 sets of photos in 20mins 😆 this momma needed it as I’m 6 weeks postpartum and chasing a 3 year old around. Having 2 kids is teaching me how to do eBay the fastest!!

I sell jewelry and have bins and bins and boxes and boxes (and it goes on) and not so great at organizing, losing stuff, etc. I have over 300 pieces of jewelry on eBay, Mercari and over 500 on Poshmark. I should probably start doing something like this. I do like the fact that they are already packed (I have special bags for my jewelry) and that way everything stays clean and doesn't get damaged. I just wouldn't have time to do what I have already online. This is great information!

I really like this inventory system. Thanks for sharing.

I use totes and refill and mark down any leftovers when i got to refill them every 6 months or so. This saves me time as i hold another job until i am making double my work income.

Thanks for all of your great content! Do you find that 10x13 poly mailers handle all of your types of clothing? Also, is your unit temperature controlled? I'm expanding into using my non temp controlled shed, but worry about mold if kept in plastic bags.

I am trying sequential numbering for books, because it's important not to misplace things. But although it's all one category, the issue is all the different sizes (plus the weight). Small and large in one box would not really work and is a waste of space too. Think I'll have a separate shelf at the bottom for large ones. Date-based still sounds best, rather than randomly filling in gaps and losing things.

Great info ! Where do you put your number for the item ? on the listing or on a spreadsheet?

Love your video and has always been a fan. Just want to ask how to label same item with multiple quantities.

Chris, once an item sells, do you ship it in the plastic package with your sku label or remove it from the bag first?

Hi Chris! Thank you for everything you provide to the reselling community. I want a store consisting of 3000 items which will be clothing. From your experience, how many shelves and boxes would I need (estimate)?

Hello Chris, what would you recommend if I had over 3, 000 items already in inventory, do you suggest I go back and label from scratch

so if you add the number/bag the item AFTER you list it at what point do you enter the custom SKU, do you go back and update your listing with it? That seems sort of inefficient.

But this way you have to use so many stickers? And do you ship with these plastic bags or reuse it? I like your previous system without infinity numbers
