I think it is completely pointless to compare singers. Each has its own technique, its own way of singing, its own approach. Everyone is kind of unique. I mean high-class singers. I am a Dimash Dear and listen only Dimash but i respect every good singer.

Both are excellent singers -- however there is a major contrasting difference: Marcelito sings a song nicely, whereas Dimash presents a full performance of everything he sings

Marcelito has a beautiful voice
and it's a matter of taste if some people like his voice more than Dimash's voice. Dimash could easily have sung in the same style (his ”angelic” voice is out of this world, ”it could heal a disease” as someone said), but he chose to make the song ”his own”. Marcelito's version is linear, Dimash's is dynamic. He started lower and finished higher! From a technical point of view there is no comparison. Dimash cannot be compared to anyone at this time. If he were to sing this song again tomorrow, Marcelito would sing it in the same way. Dimash could sing it every time differently, as he does with all his songs in concerts. He has had 8 concerts in the last 6 months and there are 8 versions of SOS, 8 versions of Know etc.
I think that is the difference between a very good singer and a genius.

My personal opinion is that Dimash takes a song, any song and makes it his own, which I believe is more creative and challenging. Marcelito has beauty, but his beauty is sounding like Celine Dion in this instance. And besides that, when Dimash sings, he is invested in the story, he tells it with his body and his facial expressions, his pauses, the dynamics he adds to his voice (loud and soft). So yes, while I respect Marcelito, gotta give this one to Dimash.

Давайте проанализируем объективно: у Марселито - ровный, чистый, красивый голос, есть верха довольно высокие. Голос в основном сосредоточен в верхнем, далеко не запредельном регистре. Верха совершенно не насыщены той полнотой и энергетикой, которая покоряет в Димаше и, конечно, далеки от верхов Димаша, низов вообще нет, так что диапазон, сомневаюсь, что есть 3 октавы. Динамики, нарастания эмоциональной насыщенности исполнения, нет. Того, что так присуще исполнению Димаша - вокального развития песни, нарастания эмоциональности, выразительности, экспрессии вообще нет. Я для себя определила характер его голоса, как "Во поле берёзонька стояла", А Димаш- это мощная эергетика, объём, выразительность, артистичность, он всегда новый, поражающий и удивляющий. Ну, а тембр голоса Димаша завораживающей красоты и проникновенности. Марселито статичен и скучноват, как артист он никакой, а Димаш не только великий певец, но и выдающийся артист, все в нём подчинено выразительности - пластика тела, рук, движения, о том, что он вкладывает всю душу в исполнение и говорить нечего, Так, что я ставлю для себя счёт такой: 10 к 2-м в пользу Димаша.

It's his dynamics that set Dimash apart in this particular song. I haven't heard enough Marcelito to know about his grasp of dynamics. I'm supposing that as Marcelito grows as an artist, he'll experiment a bit more and shine even brighter. I wish him the best, he's great! (but Dimash - his timber and tone - his utter grace - has my heart)

There was a comment on another video from someone whose friend attended a Celine Dion concert. Her friend spoke to Celine and asked if she heard of Dimash and Celine said that she did and that he even sings her song better then herself.

I think there is no point of comparing Dimash and Marcelito, two completely different type and level of singers. Don’t you think Marcelito is capable of singing the song Olymplico??? Marcelito is a very good pop singer but Dimash is a legend

U cant even compare!!! DIMASH has passion, emotions, his vocals go fm low to high, in just one song he can sing with different styles, perfect pitch, amazing vibrato, his interpratation is so personal and so original that it could become his own song!!! He changes the tension fm one minute to another, his voice is so deep and full and colorful and perfectly unique!! It feels like 5ppl sing one song. He is the one and only. Marcelito is a perfect copycat!!! Its all for show, listen to my voice its so strong!! Ok it is strong..and thats it.. no emotion, no personality, no originality, no soul..perfect copy of original version.. thats it... Marcelito is a good singer with a strong but quite flat and nasal voice, DIMASH IS A REAL ARTIST!!! Man of 10 voices and 6 octavs and emotions of 5ppl...totally different level!! I so much enjoy Dimash version.. im.flying, im actually in Titanic... when with Marcelito im just at the concert full of ppl..doesnt do anything for me.or my emotions..so empty..like an empty loud vase...thats it..
