...remembers I didn't put my 2pop and tailpops on my tracks yet, thanks for the reminder! Love the out of sync detail you got in there :)

Very helpful! The use of 2 pops is essential when you have a fade at the beginning or end of the film to understand which is the first and last frame. I remember you already talked about 2 pops in a previous episode but not so thoroughly. Thanks Alex!

The 2 Pop and Tail Pop Technique is something that is totally new to me, and this video also cleared up to me the practicality and importance of timecode- Thank you so much for making this content, it's great!

Very interesting. Don't know if I'll ever get big time enough to use all the information you presented. But for now a hard slate over all microphones and the camera scratch track is working pretty well.

Potato brought me here!
I know very little about audio so this is SUPER helpful!

Question: Do most high end production set all audio recording under the same timecode so it is easier to edit in post and there is less chance of error?
Can you show us samples of how that is possible for syncing different devices i.e. syncing GoPro audio, x# of cameras, lav mic and shotgun

Alex your videos are fantastic and I'm learning so much that I can apply. However is it possible to do a video about vocal recordings for music? I'd love to hear what you have to say.

I enjoy your videos. I am curious about 1 thing if I may. I have noticed that audio in modern movies seem to vary widely from the quietest to the loudest sound. I find this particularly annoying as it forces me to constantly adjust the volume. If I set the volume so I can hear a quiet bedroom dialog, it’s then way too loud for any action scene for instance and if I set the volume for the sound in an outdoor scene it makes it impossible to hear the quiet bedroom dialog. I would imagine it is done on purpose. I am curious; why is that?

Great video as always. Can you give us an example of how to add the pops to a simple You Tube vlog type of project?

Hey Alex, great video as always. Do you use any hardware consoles in your studio? When browsing online shops it seems that most consoles are geared mainly towards music production and not so much towards general audio editing. Are there any that you could recommend?

2 pop and tail pop sounds like music from the 1950’s
