Uh.. by getting text should go to: Insert -> Text Media
Once you have your text on the timeline with footage under your text.
you should go to: Compositing mode (on the left side of the timeline) and change it Difference or Difference Squared I'm not sure anymore... I hope this helps you.. (probably not because I'm not good at explaining things) But I atleast I gave it a shot. :) goodluck.
