I have watched dozens of videos on Defective Matrices. But this is the best. Thank you very much indeed, dear Professor!

Could you explain why the Null sapce of (defective matrix - lamda*I) is also within the span of the (defective matrix - lamda*I) itself? I think this is the key to solve the puzzle of the Jordan Canonical Form. Thanks.

I've watched all your videos up until this and I don't recall that you have been talking about pertubation. Can you give me reference to the pertubation videos? I don't understand your explanation for why defective matrices doesn't arise. I really like your videos.

4:50 Pavel how can I believe these solutions are linearly independent when the edges of the square brackets are clearly not orthogonal!

Can there exist an eigen basis for a defective matrix .? And why ?

Have you proof the random matrix null space is linear independent yet?
and the linear independent of eigen vector space ?

The irony of when being defective is closer to an ideal than being non-defective...

All I needed was an example instead I'm 4 videos in and cannot solve a single defective matrix
