Hey, also check out "Syncthing". It's in the Debian repose and available for Android in the Play Store or F-driod. It works great for auto backups. I have my phone and my wife's phone set to sync to my desktop, and then I manually run rsync to sync my desktop to my server (I could install Syncthing on my server, but I like to have a manually set in the process just to keep an eye on things).

Syncthing is awesome.

Hey Arthur, another channel I sub to has been referencing you lately so I decided to come check you out. I've used rsync in the past its great for making backups, although I never use it to actually sync anything at least not in the way you demoed in this video. I usually would take a bunch of iso's and pipe a tar command into rsync to archive and transfer a large bulk of files in one shot securely over ssh. Usually I use ' rsync -avz ' which is archive, verbose, compress which helps for extremely fast file transfers. The thing I like most about using rsync opposed to similar utilities is the ability it has to resume a transfer in the event it is interrupted or the connection drops for whatever reason. I am trying to figure out what distro your using here, its a little mix and match lol. Looks like GNOME on Linux Lite judging by your terminal. A lot of people take ~/.bashrc from other distros for that look and feel though so that is why I am deceived. I have been test driving POPos all day I am looking for something to install to an older desktop. Maybe you have some input.. Its a Dell Inspiron 570 with 10GB of DDR3 RAM and Dual AMD Athlon II X2 250's @ 3.00GHz, with AMD/ATI RS880 Radeon HD 4200 on board graphics. I have 3 terminals open, all doing nothing, and the system is using 25% of its RAM in POPos live. I have a brand new laptop hooked up to a monitor and its on and running 24/7 and I'd like to save the wear and tear so I need to get something running on this Desktop asap. I dont need a gorgeous UI, I am a CLI guy anyway, but I want it to look nice and have functionality. Before I tell you what I've tried already I just would like to get your opinion. I need a Linux distro preferably something Debian based that is going to feel like I am running Linux and not Windows10, in other words snappy, responsive. No matter what derivative of Ubuntu I have ever tried its been laggy, Arch runs great but I hate it so. Just some background for you. IF you find the time to answer thanks in advanced..
