Vice President Kamala Harris and former Rep. Liz Cheney will make their cross-party partnership official at an event in Wisconsin. The war led to significant loss of life and destabilization in the region, raising questions about its legality under international law, particularly since the U.N. did not authorize the invasion.

Torture and Enhanced Interrogation Techniques: As part of the Bush administration’s War on Terror, Cheney supported the use of enhanced interrogation techniques, such as waterboarding, which many human rights organizations and legal experts consider to be torture. The use of these methods violated the U.N. Convention Against Torture.

Extraordinary Rendition: Cheney also supported the CIA's extraordinary rendition program, where suspected terrorists were secretly captured and sent to countries where they were allegedly subjected to harsh interrogations and torture. This program violated international human rights laws.

Guantanamo Bay Detention Center: Cheney was a strong supporter of the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, where prisoners were held indefinitely without trial and subjected to inhumane conditions and interrogations, leading to accusations of violating the Geneva Conventions and human rights laws.

Targeted Killings and Drone Strikes: While Cheney was not directly responsible for the drone strike policies that escalated under Obama, the administration he was part of laid the groundwork for targeted killings without due process, raising ethical and legal questions under international law.

Being a former Republican myself, I applaud Ms Chenney & her dad for endorsing VP Kamala Harris as president of the USA 2024. What a patriotic move they've made!❤

IMO Chaney should be left out of this. She is no hero. She voted with 45 90%+ of her time in Congress, including separating children form their parents at the border. Doing what she swore to do, uphold the Constitution, does not make her a hero. Not by a long shot.
