I expected that fake motors will give better thrust :(, original rs2205 give much more thrust :( I also received fake motors. I bought those fake rs2205 2600kv motors and 20A littlebee esc's combo on aliexpress (by accident because seller wrote that all products are genuine). I have paid for everything 62 usd, but seller refunded 45 usd, so not too bad for 17 usd. I test those 2600kv motors and can say, that they work quite good, didn't do any thrust tests, but hover is about 15% of throttle with 4s and dalprop 4045 triblades, acceleration is also good, will try to put them on thrust test.

While i don't doubt that their is counterfeits and most of the time if you are buying direct from china, you got to understand how it works over there. A plant makes these for emax and lets say emax cuts their order down and if the plant has already made tons of parts, the excess gets sold out the back doors onto the streets. You then get buyers who snatch these up for cheap then resell them with out the emax logo. Sometimes parts are sold with out all the parts included so substitutes are added and that's why the quality isn't as good, there are times too that you get corrupt plant workers who sell these out the back doors. You most of the times might get lucky and buy motors with all the same parts that are included with the emax brand but with out the emax logo. This is not strictly to the RC industry, there are tons of other stuff out there that this same thing applies too. Most of the time you get a bargain with out paying the corporate huge hike apply to the sale so don't think all the time that you are buying something bad. Here in america, hot stuff is sold on the black market, doesn't mean the product isn't real. I would take a chance any day buying direct from china, i just bought a bunch of kingkong 2205 2300kv motors, look up the review on them, for just a little over 8 bucks a motor is a bargain. The greed here in america has gotten beyond belief, 100 bucks for 4 cobra motors or almost 80-90.00 for emax, that is just crazy but you suckers buy into it. I got kingkongs for 8 and change each and the reviews have been awesome on them. These companies get their stuff directly where you buy your supposed knockoffs from. Wake up!
