Good video ! I was thinking of buying a Black Lion Audio B17A2 (LA2A into a 1176 clone) but its $1400, pretty much more than $1000 more than the ART Pro VLA 2, but I will get the ART better and save some some money .

Nice have just seen the real benefit of two channel outboard gear similar two stacking plugins(neat; obvious really, but yeah nice!) and I'm presuming you can run, the first output in series with more outboard gear and return allowing for inheritant latancys and added noise. I was looking to buy my first outboard and was nearly set on the DBX 286s but it is for singing vocals and realised real Tube/valve was best for bassy vocals and I dont have good dynamic control. Actually could you do some singing samples with none or wanna be;but can't as I am a deluded wanna be sing'er. A live Singer recording session with not so perfect vocalist. but as usual; great video; there seems to be a distinct lack of singing videos with ART Pro VLA 2 was starting to suspect its no good on vocals or weak or is youtube hidding them. I am starting to get really pissed at youtube suggesting shit im not interested in or iv already look at.

I have a Pro VLA II like yours. If I have two microphones, how do I connect both microphones into channel 1 and then from channel 1 to channel 2, as shown in your demonstration? Please advise

I've watched this a few times. I will watch a few more I'm sure but I am able to follow and hear tonal changes in my signal flow. I wonder if you have used the vla for lots of tracking and if so, in the same multi mono fashion or just one channel for a vocal track?

Hey - are you using a stereo audio interface? Recording dry, with output going to the Art, then it’s output going back into the interface to another track? Then you playback and record a track 2 with compression? Do that for each track? Then at mix down, run everything through the Art? Not too much compression in the final mix?
