Arcade1up JUST released the Easter Egg for their OutRun Arcade cabinet. You can install a FREE game, Rad Rally, by visiting their website and downloading a quick and easy firmware update. This video shows you how I quickly installed the firmware update and have it up and running on my OutRun cab. Great job Arcade 1up!

Step 1: Download link from A1up website
Step 3: Copy that file onto a clean USB drive
Step 4: Plug in Micro USB to USB adapter into PCB and attach USB Key
Step 5: Turn on the cab and all done!

From what I heard, the original plan was to have Rad Mobile, but unfortunately wasn't able to because of a certain item (a.k.a. the Sonic the Hedgehog air freshener plushie)

Is it installed on there now so you can take the thumb drive off and use it for something else or do you have to leave the thumb drive attached for it to work?

Another good video sir! Thanks for sharing, do we have to keep the USB drive connected indefinitely in order for the new game to be played? Or does it load it onto the PCB saved? Can the USB drive be unplugged and it still work? Does it take ten seconds on that black screen at start up every time or just that one time for loading? Thanks so much.

How come I don’t see the rad rally to dowload in the website? I downloaded the Arcadebin but it does nothing when I plugged the microwave to the arcade.

I got rad rally to show on the menu, but for some reason when i click on it i get the control screen but it then goes back to the menu select. i cant actually run the game. Any ideas?

Do you know if it actually downloads the game to the hard drive or do you have to leave the flash drive plugged in at all times?

maybe you can help me out. Neither of my computers can download the game from Arcade1up. The bin file will not download. My computer says This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action.
What app on windows 10 would be able to download this file? Any help would be appreciated.

When I click on download, it asks what program I want to open with or save. It won’t start downloading until I check one. I have saved it and formatted a usb drive and copied to usb, but it will not load onto outrun. Any ideas?

I loaded the file onto my 64gb usb thumb drive and plugged it into the unit and nothing happened. Does the usb drive need to be a certain format?

Wow, wish this was so easy for me too. I’ve spent all day trying to convert a bin file so I can put it on my thumb drive. Idk why this is being such a pain for me. Took me a while to find a cord before I settled w Amazon. Now can’t get it to work.

Guessing the outrun cabinet is too niche for the hacking community to try to crack how to add additional games. All i need is Cruisn USA added to the existing list of 5 games and id be set.
