Everything you show here is newer than what I have. Right now I have a Federal Panel with screw in fuses and a sub-panel with pushmatic breakers!

Thanks, I was trying to figure out what type of breaker I had, federal pacific with the stab lock. Thanks a lot for the info. I ordered one off of ebay, let's hope it works.

Was looking to be a VERY informative video on circuit breakers, until it became apparent that the most popular and safest circuit breaker Square D foot print was NOT shown.

You showed GE circuit breakers at about 2:45 in the video. I was wondering what the little medal tab is on the bottom of the GE thin circuit breaker. I just had an air conditioning system installed in my house and they are using a circuit breaker similar to the GE thin you showed. Why is it there? It doesn't seem to fit in my panel correctly.

Ok, I have a problem finding a breaker.  I need a 15 amp "stand alone" breaker that can be mounted to a base without having a buss bar.  I have 30 amp single pole breakers of the type I am looking for; but you didn't show any such breaker in your video.  The ones I have are Square D and have 2 mounting tabs, one on on each end. They have screw lugs on each end for attaching the wiring.  The ones I have are basically a "slim line" (or half width) breaker.  I would prefer to use a breaker for my application rather than an in line fuse.  The system is 120 volt.

I have seen three of the Square D's get loose on the bus bar I like the knife type bus bars much better.

What is the main reason why you must not interchange breakers?

Hi, if my hole circuit bus is stablok, would you recommend i change it out. I have one bad breaker and can't gind a replacement

I was worried about getting the best price and trying to find compatible breakers, but I guess I'll just use the Siemens 50a since my box is Siemens.

Great video, mine just happened to be the second to last where you said to replace the system, yahoo. Fun stuff.

Excellent video! Knew them all but love the knowledge behind it all. Didn't know Federal Pacific got sued. Interesting! I assume ITE similar to Murray? I noticed you forgot to show the Pushmatics which are common in CT and some still have them.
