Submerged Car Could Be Linked to Couple Missing Since 1980

A 44-year-old mysterious disappearance has apparently been solved. Charles and Catherine Romer vanished in 1980. The New York couple spent their winters in Miami Beach. Back in 1980, they were on their way back from Florida and stopped for the night at a holiday inn in Georgia. They were never heard from again. Forty-four years later, Jason Souhrada used sonar to scour the pond behind the Georgia motel where the couple was last seen. Inside Edition's Les Trent has more.

It is ironic that in 1980, that 1979 Lincoln was the largest production car made and it ended up in a small pond and remained missing 44 years.

I've never seen a car taken out of the water that was crashed in the back and front as it was. It should have been a soft mud landing. Why is the trunk wrecked like it was, slammed from behind and pushed in the pond. It seems like foul play

It’s crazy to me we know about these cars in the bottoms of lakes and ponds with possible body’s yet we just never retrieve them not long ago some mom had to pay private investigators to get divers to check and see if her son and car were at the bottom and sure enough he was

Maybe they were too old to be driving. And you never really know, could still have been foul play, robbed and then driven into the pond.
