'Your Silence Is Deafening': 108 Former Bureaucrats Write An Open Letter To PM Modi Over Hate Crimes

"Amid the rising cases of hate crimes and hate speeches across the country, As many as 100 bureaucrats have written an Open letter to PM Modi to speak up. The letter seeks to draw PM Modi's attention to the recent cases of communal violence in various parts of the country and requested him to call for an end to the 'politics of hate'. The three-page letter expressed concern over the “escalation of violence against the minority communities, particularly Muslims” across several “BJP-ruled states” that poses threat to the constitutional edifice as the state governments appear to be fully complicit in the current state of affairs.
In the letter to the PM, they raised concerns about the political situation in the country and said they ""believe that the threat we are facing is unprecedented and at stake is not just constitutional morality and conduct; it is that the unique syncretic social fabric, which is our greatest civilizational inheritance and which our Constitution is so meticulously designed to conserve, is likely to be torn apart. Your silence, in the face of this enormous societal threat, is deafening.""

No hope, I don't think PM will respond. why should he..? He is not going to disappoint his core voters at any cost. What saddens me is that a large portion of India has turned super communal enough to keep the BJP in power. There is no other reason people would vote for the BJP except for being hatred of minorities and feeling happiness inside when minorities are persecuted.
