I'd read a while back that she specifically requested that her character be killed off so that she would never have to do the show again. Given her career's trajectory, she really doesn't need to go back to the show, she's arguably had the most success as an actor beyond Dawson's Creek.

Though Dawsons creek is a great show i think its better left as it was perfect for late 90s early 2000s and brings back those memories of life back then its also a show parents could show teenagers and they might enjoy it together and be able to have some conversations. But i think a reboot would just loose a lot of the charm of Dawsons creek. Plus id rather Pacey and Joey life happily ever after than meeting them as a divorced couple that fall back in love, that sounds too much like Mitch and Gaile though hopefully without either dying but still.
