Vegetation Fire w/Limited Access in the Community of Thermal

On Friday, June 23rd at around 1:00 PM, firefighters responded to reports of a vegetation fire in the 68900 block of Fillmore Street in Thermal. Upon arrival, firefighters reported 3 palm trees on fire in a palm grove with limited access. Once firefighters found a way into the location, they were able to contain the fire to several palm trees and a quarter acre of heavy brush after about 4 hours. No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported.
