SHENMUE 2 HD REMASTER - Cartographer Trophy/Achievement Guide

Note: I'd like to preface this video by saying that I'm playing on the PS4, so i keep calling it trophies in the video. But you can follow the same methods to get the achievements on Xbox One.

It’s rubhen here with a trophy guide for the HD Remaster version of Shenmue 2. The trophy is called Cartographer, which requires you to place your first map marker.

So this trophy was a bit confusing for me. In most games you open the map and place the marker. But in this game you have to buy the map for a zone, and then when you are at the zone with the map in hand, you can press the Circle button which will indicate that you want to mark a location. At this point either press the X, Square, or Triangle button to place a marker on the green map that is on the bottom left of the screen. This should unlock the trophy. Again pretty cumbersome in my opinion but hey that’s Shenmue 2.

Who knew making a waypoint marker was a hassle lol. I guess Shenmue 2 does everything unconventionally :P
