Tiny Homes - Toronto Ontario

Daniel Ott from True North Tiny Homes shares his two tiny homes at the Toronto Home Show. One is called the Millenial and is available for rent through his website so you can learn if living in a Tiny Home is for you. It includes a rooftop patio, full bathroom, kitchen, loft bedroom and solar and wind on the roof to supplement your electricity. A traditional tiny house is not allowed in Ontario yet but the rules are slowly changing.

Governments should mind their own business.

Wow what an amazing concept, it's a departure from regular house and container house. 👍👍👍

Thanks for this video !
Why is it that Ontario won't allowe a tiny house to be 1rst residence?
Is there anything I could for this to change? I would love to help in order for Ontario to recognize it as a proper home not a secondary residence

My house is about 600 square ft., not including the basement. That is fairly tiny. I think it is a good idea the tiny house sure would cut down on heating costs.

are there any specific traits that are needed for a tiny house for Yukon

So many would be happy to live that way. We are human, animals. Like all animals we don't require a huge space. A simple safe haven to call home. A safe den at night. Keep up the good work.
I was homeless at one time and I would have loved a tiny house at the time. So many cold nights praying for help out of where I was. This is a solution. You see your ship is sinking and you still have the money. Buy a Small Home and rethink your plan. Otherwise, you could end up homeless which is when it feels hopeless.

Usually unorganized township lands allow tiny home as far as I understand and I know where can park one but need a one person tiny home within budget to live full time northern ON and customize to my aging self. Along with a fair payment as income is limited. Ideas welcome Thanks!

I feel there is a great need for this type of unit, though not for everyone. If they are environmentaly ( is there such a word?) friendly, what is the problem? I would be quite happy to live in a tiny home, especially if it was a community of tiny homes. There must be a way to keep prices down on resale. Why not run them as a trailer park? There are some trailer parks you can live in full time in Ontario. I know. I did. Quite compfortably I might add. Tiny homes are built far better than park model trailers I'm sure...
